Good idea?

While waiting for a teacher to say if my idea for a master's thesis topic is good enough, some thoughts are occurring..

Idea

I was wondering.. why do Danes (and Belgians.. and, actually, pretty many nations) pronounce the word "idea" so weirdly.. The dictionary says: [ahy-dee-uh]. The average Dane, and many others, as clarified above, says: [ahy-dee-uR]... There's no "r" in the word, people..
