Being positive: 1

Being positive: smiling when your flip-flop's strap comes off, because there's sand-from-last-summer's-vacation coming out of the hole on the sole.

Coffee with karamell

Today the coffee tastes better because it is accompanied by cookies from my awesome brother.

The AD (After the Deadline) period has began!

At about 9 a.m. I crawled into bed. The excitement of ending my own hell and the smile that was framing my face did not let me fall asleep for some time.

At 12 I was already up, checking my messages for news from Sylvie. I found this picture:

.. and a few words telling me: "CONGRATULATIONS, Katya! You have successfully handed in your Master's thesis!"

From that moment on, the day was filled with lots of sun, the wide smile that I got before going to bed, and some kind of misty memory-less evening baggage packing.

Three more hours of fast sleep later, at 4a.m. I was on my way to a vacation in Greece and some

Yes, yes, good days are coming!
:)

How do you think? What is the universe trying to tell me with a giant tick in the sky.
Make sure you read "tick".

Coffee eyes

Even my coffee has one eye semi-closed before I have my coffee.

London as I saw it: 9

English bridge in England..
One could make a mistake by thinking that the English just call it a bridge.

London as I saw it: 7

Am I the only one who sees it this way, or there is some resemblance between a London underground in-carriage map..

..and the property cards* in Monopoly?

London as I saw it: 5

This is a sign on a pub's entrance.
So, if you appear under 21, you should prove you are over 18? Yeah, totally makes sense!

So this should be my street..

"Keep Calm and Carry On."
On a post-it.
The message managed to bring some smiles even though it was lying on some muddy stairs.

London as I saw it: 2

Canada square.
The central figure of this picture is.. in the center.. A couple of helicopters were flying around, appearing every now and then in the sky between the massive glass-covered skyscrapers. The presence of these flying machines might have something to do with the Olympics.. or it may be just an everyday thing in London.

London as I saw it: 1

First glimpse of London.
Business people dressed in suits having drinks after work.
The temperature is approximately 15° C less than in Sofia... feels refreshing.

Comfort taken to a new level

This is a bus stop in Aarhus.
No, no, they don't normally look this way.
That's just a great symbiosis between a Scandinavian practice (to leave your old furniture on the street, where it gets collected either by furnitureless students, or by a garbage company - whichever finds it first) and some lazy genius' mind.
Hooray for creativity born by laziness!

Exam - Danish style: 1

This is how an average open-book 4-hour exam looks like in Denmark.

You are allowed to use any source of information that you find appropriate.. including the internet. You can also write on your laptop, instead of paper. Then you upload your file on a USB stick (which they give you on your way into the exam room).

I suppose that's not something that one can experience in Denmark only.. but I never heard of such a practice in Bulgaria. Also, for my open-book exam in Belgium I was forced to print some 1000 pages, because: "if you are reading from your laptop, I can never be sure whether you're not on the internet"..

Coffee attraction

That's the window of a shop for secondhand books in Aarhus.
It seems that it knew I was gonna pass, because it had this coffee book staring at me from between the others.
