Summer summary

The summer is coming to its end. So are my trips here and there. But my memories have multiplied and I have plenty of (picture) stories for you. Yaaay! Right?

Long story short.., we hopped on the new (company) car..

..and headed to one of my two-ever festivals. I had plenty of a new kind of fun during the concerts, but the sea is where my heart is (you know, "Kateto in search of the sun"...), so naturally, I will tell you a lot more about the trip.. ah, the two trips to the seaside.

Soon after reaching the end of the freshly-built highway, we were at the beach..

..bathing and sunbathing.

Did I mention I ♥ the sun?

One of the seaside vacations was in Bulgaria and the other one in Greece. During the latter one we had a pool by the house and spent plenty of time there..

..since the beaches around were rocky. However, I did not miss to make the best out of that.. Like, by gathering way too many beautiful-when-wet rocks to bring back home.

Of course, we made sure we absorb some of Greece's rich culture.

But the rest of the time was either occupied with eating or.. well, enjoying some free time.

I personally avoided searching for the internet signal..

... and chose to stick to reading..

... or, simply, to hanging around, doing nothing.

Lots of beer was consumed in total..

... as it sometimes happen in warm environments.

Oh, yes! I also took plenty of photos to help the memories stick around for longer.

Awesome summer. Really. Too bad it's almost over. Or.. can I have some more?

Well, what about Summer Well?

As I mentioned, I have loads to share. Another thing I mentioned is that I recently discovered the awesomeness of live music.
Following this introduction, I shall say that two weekends ago I was in Romania for the festival Summer Well. Once again, it was amazing.
However, about the trip and all - later. Now it's time for music.

Interestingly enough, when you google search "song stuck mind" you get amazingly many results amongst which some explaining to you what it means to have a song stuck in your head (earworm); sharing steps for coping with the problem; and even one offering a way to unhear a song..

(Re)discover music

I rarely ever went to concerts until recently.
But since this changed, I am endlessly grateful and happy that I finally discovered this marvelous world of music, sounding in a pretty different way when you can see the artist(s) performing right in front of you.. while the shared energy of the fans around you is charging you with a special kind of positive feeling..
Less than a couple of weeks ago I went for the first time to Spirit of Burgas. Since that's a (pretty cool) festival (in Bulgaria... at the beach(!)), I could enjoy much more than one artist at a time.
Can you imagine.. I heard... and saw.. and felt... I experienced all of the following:

It's important to wake up and get that energy boost one needs to start the day..
Last March, 10th I got my boost through this specially-sent-to-me song.. and I'm shamelessly reusing it today!
Oookaaaay... you can borrow it too..

The taste of words

A book tastes better at the beach, with lots of lemon in a sweaty-cold glass of gin-tonic..

Awesome as usual

Continuing the tradition of sharing awesome songs with you, here's another one.

Do instead of don't

Research has proven that people feel less unhappy when they have done something (that they later decide they regret doing) than when they did not do that thing (and later decide they should have done it)..

What I mean by sharing this with you is, take as many opportunities as you can; try things without being too cautious about whether that is the best to do; meet people, go to places - without wondering whether you will enjoy them.

Even if these things turn to be, well, not-so-awesome, you will still feel better than if you simply decided to stay on the safe side and skip taking a chance.

Science has proven it. But more importantly, I am giving you my word. Get wild. Feel happier!

Being positive: being fine with chilly autumn weather during summer while stuck in the city, because it could have been worse - like being fine with chilly autumn weather during summer while on vacation by the sea.

Caution: Woman Driver Inside

I've been attending driving lessons for some time and yesterday I finally won the right to (legally) drive a car. YAY!

I cannot hide that

And even though there's a widely spread rumor (and some evidence) that women can't drive..

..or park..

..or do any other kind of car stuff..

.., I am convinced to prove the world that being a good driver (and car-stuff-involved-person) does not depend on a person's sex..

..but rather on the person's abilities.
And I am daaamn good!

Long time no upload

I used to upload stuff here more often.
Then I did not upload stuff so often.
Now I plan to go back to uploading more often again.
But hey, don't blame me, I've been busy..
