Friends like stars
How lucky am I to get a message like this one:
"..I really really miss you so much! I'm jealous of the people that can walk over to you right now because I wish I could :)..."

I'm back to the Internet
After getting some reasonable time off the Internet, due to returning home, I am back to posting things here.
This first after-vacation publication is about a nice facebook page. It is called Urban Art in Bulgaria and has a lot to offer.
Despite the name of the page, there are pictures of street art stuff from other countries too. You will find some of the posts in Bulgarian..., but, hey, images speak the Universal language.
Go check the page and bring some sunshine to your soul. :)

Exam - Danish style: 1
This is how an average open-book 4-hour exam looks like in Denmark.
You are allowed to use any source of information that you find appropriate.. including the internet. You can also write on your laptop, instead of paper. Then you upload your file on a USB stick (which they give you on your way into the exam room).
I suppose that's not something that one can experience in Denmark only.. but I never heard of such a practice in Bulgaria. Also, for my open-book exam in Belgium I was forced to print some 1000 pages, because: "if you are reading from your laptop, I can never be sure whether you're not on the internet"..

* Roberta, thank you for making this (though blurry ;)) photo for me! :)

Concentration
My ability to focus on the one thing I'm doing at a given moment is so low that I started to think I might be suffering attention disorder. I'm losing interest in whatever I'm doing up to 5 seconds after initiating an activity.. So, I decided to search for answers on the internet.. it should know.
I wrote "attention disorder" and pressed "enter",.. results loaded,.. I opened an article.. and lost interest in reading it before it appeared..
Well, since I couldn't read it, I'm not yet sure if there is a problem.. But I'm sure I'm just fine!

Save me a bit!
People around the world save money.. Students in Leuven might not be doing that.. but they sure save internet.
KotNet is a service.. or a project, or aaam... whatever, through which every student has access to the internet in their rooms. I'm not really sure if that is sponsored by the university or the price is just included in our rents. In any case you have a monthly limit on your download.
One never thinks about it, but every picture you open,.. every video you play on youtube,.. every word you write/say in skype.. is download. Without realizing this, students turn into upright savers that search for places to use someone's wireless.. Questions like: "How much do you have left?", and answers like: "Mine is not green anymore, it's yellow..", are a normal part of conversations..

Cables are underrated..
Since I did not have internet at my room for a week, I was going to other places for some free wireless.. and some free coffee (yep, there are such places here)..
Now I finally have internet at home... what a bliss.. No free coffee, but I can wear pajamas while I browse..
