Meet me halfway

Smoke in the sky

A police report like the one below can never be recorded in Denmark.. Here everyone knows how clouds look.

Idea

I was wondering.. why do Danes (and Belgians.. and, actually, pretty many nations) pronounce the word "idea" so weirdly.. The dictionary says: [ahy-dee-uh]. The average Dane, and many others, as clarified above, says: [ahy-dee-uR]... There's no "r" in the word, people..

Sweet dreams!

Prices for children

Like many who provide transportation service, the Danish company Abildskou Rutebiler has special reduced prices as well. The "Red Discounted Ticket" is a great offer for children, for instance..

Danish entertainment

Kate - dealing with administration and loving it since 2010..

Sunny!

Your daily weather update is here to let you know that the sun above Aarhus finally won the fight with the clouds..

I still find it unfair that spring here does not really feel like spring at home. But cold, windy and sunny is definitely better than cold, windy, foggy, rainy and gloomy... Hooray!

(Reversed) countdown: 2

I like it here, really.. But I should tell you that it's now two weeks less till I go back home.

More of the little drops

I was thinking.. how do I always end up in the rainiest countries in the world?..

Little drops of water

Rain? In Denmark? No way!

Self portrait

I took some pictures of myself at lunch time. And since we have no secrets from each other, I'm sharing the photos with you:

Six pack

I know that when I say "six pack" you're thinking about the Stability and Growth Pact.

But I'm actually talking about well-shaped, ripped-muscle, athletic bodies. At the beach. Tanned. In swimwear. With little drops of seawater on them.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that, in case you want to get rid of some winter.. wrapper, you may want to start now and do it the healthy way.

See you at the beach. Unless you were too lazy to do something about the fat load - then I'd kindly ask you to leave my fantasy picture immaculate.

Say: "cheese"!

Since I found this website I am considering going through the world map to see if they didn't catch me at some embarrassing moment.. Not that there are any I can think of..

Gone

There's actually a positive side of the endless Danish wind. Yesterday the sky was overcast with clouds. Now ("today" is too big to be used when it comes to forecasting Danish weather) we have blue sky and sunshine. Yay!

(Reversed) countdown: 1

Not that I'm counting... But it's now one week less till I go back home.

As active as a Sunday lets me be

Here it comes

The clouds of the gloomy day let some sun rays through my window.. and this song just appeared in my head.
However, while I was writing that, the sun went away.. several times. Exciting Denmark..

Move those bodies! Oh, wait..

There are two great joys in everyone's life and they are both brought to you by two Scandinavian companies: IKEA and LEGO.
The latter one has recently decided you may need a huge Lego head (size L, the box says) and they made it for you:

But I just could not help it imagine the reaction of a person who gets the head as a present..

A tender goodnight

It's late, so..

Not cool

Weather, I'm really disappointed.

We had an agreement: I was gonna come back to Denmark if you make the spring arrive too... So, I'm here, but the snow that's falling from the sky makes me think you did not keep your part of the deal.

I'm giving you some time to fix all that. If you complete the task in two weeks, we're all set.

Retrospection: step 1

A few days ago, on March 3rd, Bulgaria had a national holiday - Liberation day.
Google did not forget to congratulate us its own way:

The background is our flag, and the monument on the place of "L" is Shipka Memorial.

The monument was once on the banknote with the smallest nominal value - 1 lev. When I was 5 or so, I went there with my granddad. After running up the 894 steps, I got so impressed with the memorial, that I started to refuse (birthday) money unless it was a 1 lev banknote... Now I'm a little more mercantile then 20 years ago, but I would love to hold in my hands that pinkish piece of paper once again..

Welcome back to Denmark!

My "vacation" is over and I am back to Denmark, and to posting things here. I know you missed my regular pointless updates, so here I'll start with one.

This time, when landing, the plane did several tremendous bounces off the ground. It also felt like the breaks have stopped working. While the airplane was making its jumping dash through the airport, in order to start feeling better, I reminded myself it could be worse:
